Got questions? We have answers. See all the most commonly asked questions about Online Republic Partnerships below
Is the affiliate tracked across all pages of my site?
Absolutely! Since the affiliate’s ID is stored in a cookie, the affiliate is tracked across all pages on the site.
Can I change the “?affiliate=example” to something else?
You can’t change the affiliate variable, it is configured for you when setting up your account.
If a customer clicks on 2 different affiliate links from 2 different affiliates, which one is saved?
The affiliate cookie works on the basis of Last Referrer. This means the last affiliate link that the customer clicks will store the affiliate’s ID. The affiliate cookie can expire after the allotted time, be deleted when a customer clears their browser cookies, or can be overridden by a subsequent affiliate link.
How does tracking work on a white label?
A white label is created for a specific affiliate and is linked to a single affiliate account.
A URL for a white label looks like this: “http://example.motorhomerepublic.com”.
All bookings on the white label will be assigned to the affiliate which owns the white label. It is not possible to override this with cookie tracking.
